Did you know the town of Andes was the site of a plane crash?

On May 7, 1937, a biplane crashed within five or six feet of the Ralph Worden farm house close to the Palmer Hill Rd. Don Cowan and his younger brother, Bruce were injured in the crash. Both men survived. From Ruts in the Road by John E. Raitt, pp. 148-149
